Our mission statement informs our approach to teaching at all levels. Whether a first semester language course or an advanced film seminar, our courses provide students with the linguistic skills, 跨文化能力, and critical thinking skills they need to succeed beyond the classroom. Here are just a few examples of how St. Edward's students took on their world between semesters.

Testing for Placement and Credit
Students planning to take a course in French, German, or Spanish are required to take the Modern Language Placement Test (MLP). Most students taking Japanese will enroll in 1311 and no test is required. 分班测试是免费的，它不是一个高风险的测试，只要尽你最大的努力. You do not receive credit for this test. 它只是一个工具，可以帮助语言教师确定适合你的水平，不会以任何方式影响你的学术地位.
